An 18th centenary festival was held at Unjha in the courtyard of Umiya, the clan goddess of bitter Patidars and mother of Jagatjan. Lakhs of devotees flocked to see Ma Umiya in the festival which planted the seeds of social revolution in the Patidar society. The festival was celebrated with great fanfare as it was the first time such a festival was conducted by Umiya Mataji Sansthan-Unjha. Patidars and devotees living in the country and abroad participated enthusiastically in this festival.
